Mr. Kareem of TV5 has been brutally attacked by his presentent wife Sireesha alias Noor's father and brother. It is said that he is out of danger but the doctors are not sure whether he could retain his eyesight. Mediapeople, mostly from the electronic media rushed to the hospital immediately on knowing this.
However, there were no breaking news, phones-in, updates, backgrounders etc...as is the usual practice of the channels. All the channels kept quiet and this is an interesting trend. Can anybody guess the reasons behind this silence ?

i think this is something related to dignity of media,so the media did not exploit the news in tv channels,but print media ,newspapers ,have exposed the news.i think its news channels unity had avoided such kind of act,but at last its proved that they too have ethics,after all they are also under a profession which needs to mantain dignified posture,Some channels dont do such kind of act especially a famous news channel,its such a naughty and dangerous group which lives on Blackmailing,its just because kareem too contributed sucess to this channel formerly,so they have to spare his attack ,not being exploited.Though nowadays News media is not unified,everychannel is seperate in its own way,we see all of them fighting,TV9-EENADU,EENADU-SAAKSHI,ANDHRAJYOTHI -SAAKSHI ,TV9-TV5-NTV-ETV2.And its still shamefull that,few months ago UNDAVALLI ARUN KUMAR said in a press conference".......now ,its not a property of media to maintaining unity ,every one are in their own ways,there is no rule that they should all be under one roof,thats how they behave............"when such a statement was given(which is true fact) ,the news media didnt retort or criticized the comment(atleast for the respect for the profession they should have criticized the comment),but whole Media was mum,which infact made the society insecured ,as Media is called to be one of the four supporting pillar of constitution,which has cracks and it will lead to unstabilized society,where there are more chances for stabilizing peace and harmony
no wonder, the attack is a lesson to many a persons. the way the attack took place is highly condemnable...but i bet it set an example that everybody in this world is vulnerable . may Mr Kareem recover soon.
i think we live in the world of democracy ,if somebody does anything against law or illegal act ,there is always a right to the people who suffer ed by such acts can take legal action,but this kind of acid attack is terryfying,instead the persons should have taken the help of law ,if karim has done anything illegal. though the news about karim is kept confidential nobody can either support him or against him.but the attack is unlawful and is an agitated act
ordinary citizens are taken for ride by the channels show their lives tare them apart and when their fellow journalist news is there suddenly they became saints and maturity has prevailed this is very very wrong.
Take the example of a Josthna who dies in London when a black killed her all channels have played with the dead girl and they have done the character asSasination of that girl even after death . this is pure DOUBLE STANDARDS
Media is maintaining dignity in case of kareem i wish it should maintain same thing in all cases
Its not good to marry by divorcing. Kareem's first wife said he had relationship with sireesha earlier. If so then i think what he is go through is now correct.
Electronic media - be it the national media or the regional media have outgrown themselves and with politicians understanding the importance of being on the good side of a particular TV channel, people like Kareem, Ravi Prakash , to name a few from the telugu channels, Barkha Dutt, Arnav Goswami from the english channel think that they can speak and show anything and still get away with it. Ofcourse this particular incident is very disturbing since one it points to the changing social fabric of our times with increasing corporatization and more financial freedom for people, second - morals and ethics are taking a back seat in comparison to career and money.
kareems past finally caught up with him. those who know kareem in media industry will know very well he probably deserved it. How many girls he has cheated and aur bi kitne kand the. people reading the blog are more taken in by the facade they put on the TV. Kareem could probably be called the scum of media industry in moral terms. What happened maybe against law..but maybe something natural would have happened - had this not happened. after all allah sab kuch dektha hai.
